Most of the Senshu region is located along the seacoast, and it is here that a majority of Osaka's fishing-port markets can be found. There are markets both large and small, each offering a unique selection of products. Explore the markets for yourself and find your favorite!
(Note: Some markets operate based on irregular schedules, so make sure to check market event dates via websites or similar before visiting.)

No preparation on your part is necessary; simply show up, pick out the fish you want, and savor anything from chargrilled seafood to seafood-over-rice bowls. If you want to eat in a restaurant, you can choose from takomeshi (octopus and rice), seafood tempura, grilled whole squid, salt-grilled sweetfish and more.

This market offers a wide range of unique made-in-Osaka products including eel-over-rice bowls made using broiled natural eel from the Yodogawa River, Japanese-style croquettes made with whitebait, ingredients pickled in soy sauce lees, and more! We recommend trying the cutlassfish tempura, which is made with ultra-large-sized cutlassfish and offers a delectably crispy finish.
Jizohama Minato Marche also has a barbecue area where you can grill up fresh seafood and eat it on the spot. Meat is also available, sold by one of Kishiwada's most famous butcher shops, and a flea market is sometimes held alongside the fresh food market.Address: 大阪府岸和田市地蔵浜町7-1 Tel: 072-423-2518 Official Website: http://www.iwashikincyaku.com/15185898853679 (Please view the website for further details)

In addition to fresh seafood, this market serves up Senshu-brand pork, Inunaki pork, locally grown fruits and vegetables, daily goods and more. With so much to choose from, you'll have fun just walking around to peek into the various shops! Many visitors arrive early in the morning to get their hands on the best seafood before it's taken, so we recommend departing for this market at the earliest hour possible.
A big sales event is held at the end of each year, with people (mostly locals) livening up the market from the wee hours of the morning.Address: 大阪府泉南郡田尻町りんくうポート北1番 Tel: 072-465-0099 Official Website: https://tajiri-asaichi.com/ (Please view the website for further details)
Another popular attraction of the Tajiri Fishing Port is its seasonal, limited-time "oyster huts." These huts are popular throughout Japan, but Tajiri's are unique in that customers can enjoy steamed oysters. The sight of huge amounts of steam billowing up from the oysters as they cook is impressive.
